Summer Session Courses & Camps
St. Francis offers camps for young women, grades 6 and above (with selected camps also available to boys, grades 6 and above). Fun and educational, these academic and sports camps are designed to develop self-confidence and competence in a nurturing environment.
In addition to these camps, we also offer a co-educational summer session for students in grades 9 through 12. These courses include a selection of high school credit courses as well as enrichment and review classes.
Information about Summer Session 2010 courses and camps will be available in early spring 2010.
Courses Taken at other Academic Institutions
St. Francis High School will accept credit toward graduation from WASC accredited High Schools under the following conditions:
- Students must consult with their guidance counselor prior to registration to ensure that the class is acceptable. Classes taken from other institutions may not be compatible with the St. Francis High School curriculum; students assume the risk and responsibility for these discrepancies;
- The required courses for graduation in English, Theology, World History, and US History must be taken at St. Francis High School. Students may take additional summer school courses at other institutions in these subject areas as elective;
- Community college and online courses are not accepted in lieu of graduation requirements or for prerequisites. College courses will not be included in the St. Francis transcript;
- Approved high school classes taken at WASC accredited high schools other than St. Francis will be recorded on the student’s transcript and in the appropriate GPA calculations;
- High school level courses taken prior to summer before Freshman year are not included on the transcript.
