Advanced Studio Art (P)

A rigorous, advanced level studio art course open to students working in two or three-dimensional art media. This class is for the serious art student who wishes to proceed to AP Studio Art. Methods of instruction include: Lecture, demonstration, guest speakers, field trips, hands on group and individual image production, and critique. Art will be examined in a historical context utilizing research, critical analysis, and studio exploration. Each student will be required to assemble a portfolio of their work at the end of the year in preparation for AP Studio Art.
Prerequisite: Art 1 plus sections 1 & 2 of Drawing (P), Painting (P), Figure Sculpting (P), or Photography
