Register for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests
First semester SAT tests will be offered onsite at SFHS on the following dates:
- October 10, 2009
- November 7, 2009
- December 5, 2009
Seniors wishing to take the SAT on one of these dates should select two (or all three) dates and sign up with the College Board in early to mid- August... before the school year even begins! The SFHS test site fills up quickly.
Spring 2010 SAT testing dates onsite at SFHS are as follow:
- March 13, 2010
- May 1, 2010
- June 5, 2010
Juniors are encouraged to sign up in August, or early in the fall semester, for the spring dates. Typically, about half of the juniors take their first SAT in March, with repeats in May for the reasoning test and June for the subject tests. The onsite SFHS openings fill up quickly.
Note: On the printed SFHS school-year calendar, the March date is incorrectly posted as March 6. The actual exam date is March 13, 2010.
To register for the SAT or SAT subject tests (offered in October, November, and December), go to the College Board website and follow the instructions. The St. Francis High School code to use when registering is 052698.

Community College Assessment
The California Community Colleges requests that all entering college freshmen take an assessment exam, specifically in the areas of Reading, Writing and Math. The results are used to help place students in appropriate freshmen level courses.
As a courtesy to our high school, the Sacramento City College campus traditionally administers, free of charge, the assessment exam to all interested SFHS students. The exam is announced in the spring. Students are required to sign up early; an announcement is made closer to the date.
Exam results may be used at any Los Rios Community College campus, and many other regions will accept the results as well.
