BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Lyndsay Carpenter has been tabbed the Mountain East Conference women’s lacrosse defensive player of the week.
 
Carpenter, a junior defender from Sacramento, California, guided the Cardinals defense to its first ever victory over a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponent last Tuesday.  The Cardinals held Edinboro to 11 goals on their way to a 13-11 victory.
 
Carpenter finished the night with six ground balls and four caused turnovers. On the season, Carpenter leads the Cardinals with 17 ground balls and 13 forced turnovers.
