Golf Posts Three-Shot Win over Pleasant Grove

ROSEVILLE, Calif. – The St. Francis golf team held off Pleasant Grove by three strokes to win their Delta River League match Wednesday to remain undefeated. The Troubadours were led by the even-par 36 by senior Emily Laskin.

The Troubadours posted a 216 with their top five scores to edge Pleasant Grove, which posted a 219.

Laskin had the best round of the day for St. Francis, posting a round of even par or better for the second straight match. Senior Victoria Vardanega carded a 41, while classmate Ileana MacDonald was one stroke back with a 42. Sophomore Kate Swanson posted a 48 and Victoria Ramirez shot a 49. Sophomore Caitlyn Autry had a 58.

St. Francis returns to the course to take on Sheldon on Oct. 2 at Wildhawk Golf Course.
