Golf Wins Second Straight Delta River League Event

CAMERON PARK, Calif. – Seniors Ileana MacDonald and Victoria Vardanega were among three St. Francis players among the top six in the field as the Troubadours won their second consecutive Delta River League event.

The Troubadours finished with a 440 team score to post a slim advantage over both Pleasant Grove (443) and Oak Ridge (446). Oak Ridge’s Carolyn Almeida claimed medalist honors with a 77. St. Francis senior Emily Laskin carded a 79 to finish second among the top individuals.

MacDonald was fifth overall posting an 84 and Vardanega carded an 85 to place sixth.

Sophomore Kate Swanson recorded a 94, while Mika Fang and Kristi Lee each posted rounds of 98.

St. Francis returns to the course next Monday to take on Folsom at Empire Ranch Golf Club in a DRL match starting at 3 p.m.
