| On May 21, 2008, two hundred twenty-nine St. Francis students walked across the stage at the Memorial Auditorium to receive their diplomas. To say it was a proud moment for all is a great understatement. For the girls, it was pride in all their accomplishments. For the parents, it was pride in their daughters and their growth into incredible, confident young women. For staff, it was pride in what can happen when many hands join around one Heart.
I am inspired by the words of one of our Valedictorians who said: "These hands, our hands, now spread out in the world. They will be guided by the heart we have all developed at St. Francis to do remarkable things. Our hands will bless the world...."
That is what St. Francis is about: blessing the world. We can all have a little more confidence in our future because we know it is in good hands.
I am filled with gratitude for all who have partnered with us this past year. Your joining hands with ours have made this work of Catholic education possible. We literally couldn't have done it without you.
I wish you a restful and renewing summer, one filled with ice cream and lemonade, with good books and reveries, with joining hands with family and friends. In other words, taste the good life this summer.
Wishing you all of God's remarkable blessings, I am
Yours truly, Marion L. Bishop - President
