The application for admission has sections for both parents and the student to complete. There is a $50 application fee, which includes administration of the HSPT. When completing the application for admission you will create a login that you will use to access your online parent portal for all the other steps in the admissions process. Applications are currently considered on a rolling basis.

Academic Record Report

We request that your daughter’s current school send us a transcript for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, and any standardized test results taken during those years. After obtaining the email address for the person responsible for your daughter’s academic record reports at her current school (this could be a Registrar or administrative staff) you will sign on to the parent portal and submit the Academic Record Report request directly to that person. You should only need to email this form to her current school as they should have her complete educational records from all schools she has attended. We kindly ask that you wait to email your current school until your daughter’s semester grades have posted.

Recommendation Forms:  Principal, Math, English

After obtaining the email addresses for the applicant’s Principal/Counselor, Math teacher, and English teacher, sign on to the parent portal and submit the recommendation form to each recommender. 

Clergy Recommendation Form (optional)

After obtaining the email address for the applicant’s pastor/minister/faith leader, sign on to the parent portal and submit the pastor recommendation form. Families who choose not to submit the Pastor Recommendation Form will be asked on the application for admission why they wish for their daughter to attend a faith-based high school.

Applicants will submit a short (30-90 second) video that answers the following questions:

1. What are you most excited to experience in high school? Let us know who you are, what you love to do, and if there are new things you want to try in high school.
2. Our SFHS schools pillars are Faith, Excellence, Leadership and Service. Please pick one of our pillars and describe what it means to you.
3. You are going to be speaking at an event; what is your walk up song? What song captures your current outlook, mood, or vibe?

Financial aid application

An affiliated company (FACTS) processes the financial aid applications. If you have any questions about financial aid, please contact Student Billing Specialist Sarah Otto at (916) 737-5042. Applications for financial aid are due January 8, 2026.

The HSPT will be administered on January 10, 2026 from 7:45 am to 11:45 am. There will be a makeup HSPT (with limited seating) on January 17, 2026. You can sign up for the HSPT via the online parent portal, with the default test administration being January 11th. If an applicant currently receives extended time for a documented learning difference, please email Lisa Wilkins to request extended time (+50%).

We will be hosting a Prospective Parent Town Hall with refreshments during the January 10th HSPT administration. Parents, please join us in the Dining Hall from 8:00am to 9:15 am!
