At St. Francis Catholic High School, the Performing Arts are woven into student life, helping young women grow in confidence, creativity, and collaboration. From your first audition to your final bow, you’ll find opportunities to discover your talents and share them with the community.

Music
Vocal Music:
Choirs range from Concert Choir to select Chamber Singers and Honors Chamber Singers. Show Choir combines singing and choreography, with performances on campus and at regional festivals—including Disneyland. The Blue Skirts A Cappella Club offers an extra creative outlet.
Instrumental Music:
Musicians join Concert Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Concert Band, or Symphonic Band. Students build skills in technique, ensemble performance, and music reading.

Dance
Dance programs include Dance Company, Apprentice Dance Company, and styles classes covering multiple genres. Na Wahine ‘O ‘Olu offers instruction in traditional Hawaiian hula. Many dance courses also fulfill PE requirements.

Theater
Students can explore acting and stagecraft through courses from beginner Theater Arts I to Honors Theatre II. Annual productions include a full-scale fall musical and spring play open to all, plus opportunities to compete at the Lenaea Festival. Technical Theater students gain hands-on experience with design, production, and tech support for all performing arts productions and participation in the Lenaea Festival.

Student Experiences
Performing Arts students take part in major productions, concerts, competitions, and special events. Whether you’re center stage or working behind the scenes, you’ll develop lifelong skills in teamwork, discipline, and creative expression.
Facilities & Faculty
Performances are staged in a professional 500-seat theater with advanced lighting and sound. Rehearsals take place in dedicated studios for music, dance, and theater production. Expert faculty with professional backgrounds mentor students every step of the way.
Outcomes
Many graduates pursue performing arts in college and earn recognition at regional and state levels. All students leave with confidence, creativity, and the experience of being part of something bigger than themselves.
