Visual Arts at St. Francis inspire students to explore their creativity and develop artistic skills across a wide range of media. Whether you’re discovering art for the first time or preparing for an advanced portfolio, you’ll find a welcoming community ready to support your growth.

Program Highlights
Students can take courses in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Digital Photography, Film & Animation, and AP Studio Art. Art History and Honors Art History deepen understanding of artistic traditions. All classes fulfill college-prep requirements.
Student Experiences
St. Francis artists regularly showcase their work in the on-campus gallery and at community exhibitions. Students compete in events such as the California State Fair, Congressional Art Competition, and Crocker Art Museum showcases. You’ll also have opportunities to create artwork for school events and collaborate on group projects.
Facilities & Faculty
The Arts Complex features four professional studios equipped for 2D, 3D, and digital media. Students have access to a kiln, darkroom, digital labs, and professional-grade supplies. Our faculty are practicing artists and dedicated mentors who guide students at every level.
Outcomes
Graduates have gone on to top art programs and earned scholarships and recognition for their work. Even students who pursue other fields leave with creativity, visual literacy, and the confidence to share their vision with the world.
