The A Touch of Kindness club spreads love in the Sacramento area by making cards for senior citizen homes in the community!

A club for Troubies who would like to help animals who are in need and fight against animal cruelty. The club will have volunteering opportunities and inform Troubies on how to protect animals by being environmentally friendly.

We discuss all things anime, watch some clips from a series or movie, and sharing our favorite anime!

A fun club to experiment with all mediums of art and do fun crafts and projects as well as working with the school & community to create artwork.

The Asian and Pacific Islander Club is an interactive community aimed to cultivate an inclusive environment for Asians and Pacific Islanders through a series of meetings, in-school activities, and outside school events. The purpose of APIC is to provide a space where all students feel free to express their individuality, foster inclusivity, and celebrate their culture.

Our club creates fun activities for people with special needs providing an opportunity to socialize and connect with the St. Francis community.

Bracelets of Hope is focused on crafting friendship bracelets and writing personalized notes to uplift pre-teens and teens in foster care. By spreading positivity and building strong bonds among members, the club aims to inspire hope and create a sense of connection for those facing challenging circumstances.

Our BSU vision is to elevate cultural awareness and provide education on topics that impact our community. Also, to share experiences and others that are positive and promote an unbiased society for all. ALL STUDENTS, regardless of race and culture, are welcome to participate in BSU. We see this as an opportunity to encourage diverse perspectives and conversations while creating a path to cultural acceptance and understanding.

As a club, our top priority is providing members with information to feel confident and prepared for their future ahead. We want to provide a safe space for girls to explore their passions, ask questions, and collaborate with those who share similar interests. We strive to encourage young women to pursue something that makes them happy, rather than settling for a job solely because of its salary. While accomplishing this, we will ensure that we provide unbiased information, allowing our members to draw their own conclusions on what will be best for their future.

This club discusses major events, practices, and popular dishes in modern Chinese culture.

A club revolving around Korean culture with a dance team to perform covers of K-pop songs! Membership by audition only.

Crochet Club is a place to learn a new hobby and meet new people! No experience required, just curiosity and a willingness to learn! We will be making items for donation.

This club will allow its member to explore how to formulate arguments and help develop impromptu speaking skills. This club can provide its member from varying abilities a fun way to build their public speaking skills, while developing critical thinking and effective communication.

A new club to address the digital media needs of SFHS with a student perspective.

A club revolving around seminar-like discussions about the structure of the American Government and its functions in ways that don’t relate to controversial political topics. This club will converse about the structure of other government systems such as monarchies, theocracies, parliamentary governments, etc. It will also inform students about the differences between our government now and how it was in the past. It will be a safe space for Troubies who wish to explore their government and how it affects them.

This club is for anyone interested in the fields of construction, civil engineering, and architecture. Whether this potential member is dreaming of designing the next iconic skyline or building sustainable buildings, this club is for those who are passionate and interested in design, innovation, and structural creativity.

This club will meet before school/during late starts. It will be a drumline and colorguard that learns the skills required to work in a team setting. It will be a student run club and with the assistance of Ms. See, drumline pieces will be picked. The club will be a space for creativity and growth.

EmpowerHER is a club made by athletes for all athletes to address mental health in women’s sports.

Hold discussions sparked by guest speakers about current environmental issues and policies. Have meaningful discussions and ideas about solving environmental issues in the Sacramento area and to provide resources for students to get involved in environment cleans ups and policies.

Expression, Rhythm, and Attitude – Hip hop dance club - membership by audition only.

A club created to encourage Filipino youth at St. Francis to embrace their heritage. Stop on by for karaoke competitions, conversational Tagalog lessons, cultural crash courses, and lots of food! Non-Filipinos are allowed and welcome.

French Club is a great way to experience French culture, indulge in delicious French food, and enjoy fun activities including: French movie week, picnics, caroling, dancing at International Night, and celebrating various holidays together. We strive to create a fun and safe environment for students to learn about and participate in French traditions.

This is a gardening club for the school garden, where we’ll tend to the garden, plant new seeds for the different seasons, do maintenance and clean up, and make new friends who also share a green thumb! We’ll also have occasional presentations on composting, green waste, a beginner’s guide to planting, and on recycling. We will also try to do big projects once a semester, like field trips to the farmer’s market or a plant nursery. In addition, we will offer crafts for special days such as St. Francis Day, like building and painting birdhouses or decorating tiles for the garden.

Our club would meet monthly to discuss the needs we see in our community surrounding hygienic products. We want to help all women and people in our community. On certain holidays we would do cute activities and make cards. With approval from Ms. Villanueva our club meetings would have a designated area where members could drop off their donations of period products. We would encourage girls to donate by having fun and eventful meetings.

We do activities to build up women and empower women’s rights.

In this club we discuss ways to explore healthy choices, advocate for ourselves and others, be aware of signs of oncoming danger, practice self defense techniques, and identify safe environments. A typical meeting includes group discussions, ice breaker questions and games, demonstrations and activities, as well as the occasional guest speaker.

We are creating this club to make a change. This club will have a goal of visiting care homes every other Sunday to participate in activities with them such as water balloon fights, cookie decorating, puzzles, etc. I believe these visits would provide something for the campers to look forward to week after week. In our meetings, we would discuss what activities we will be doing that week.

This Club is for girls who love nature and exploring the outdoors. We will be showing different areas near here to go on hikes and how we can support the environment we love so much in meetings. throughout the school year in different places. This club is for everyone from experienced hikers to those just starting to discover it. We will also be showing Troubies different environmental clean ups and ways to support the environment throughout the year that they can do.

A safe space club where anyone can join to meet new people and establish friendships. There is no judgement or prejudice in this club.

This club will help us explore human behavior. We will dig into thought-provoking podcast episodes that cover serious topics within the field of psychology to spark insightful discussions and gain new perspectives on mental health, behavioral patterns, cognitive processes, and more. Members are encouraged to share their personal experiences related to psychological phenomena which will allow us to not only learn from one another but also provide an opportunity for mutual support and empathy. Whether you’re passionate about unraveling mysteries of the mind or seeking a space for meaningful conversations around mental well-being. This club is intended for people who are interested in going into the psychology/therapy field or who are just curious to explore the inner insights of humans.

Interact Club is a community service club in collaboration with East Sac Rotary that focuses on helping people look for service opportunities as well as hosts service projects that impact communities around the world. This club is in partnership with District 5180 as well as other High Schools in our community. Interact this year is focusing on creating and assembling Wapis which are Water pasteurization indicators that show if water is safe to drink or not. As of now the club is planning on creating these this year in partnership with the other high schools to send these devices to Bangladesh as well as Peru.

International Bridges to Justice will be a club tied to the student youth program of the IBJ organization, which is based in Geneva, Switzerland. IBJ works to help victims worldwide who experience torture and violence and do not have access to fair legal rights or systems. The youth group at IBJ seeks representation all around the world to spread awareness of these issues and participate in projects to support the cause. As a team, we would discuss and research areas we can work on to eventually participate in projects for the organization.

International Gal Pals is a club that aims to inspire female students and create a sense of womanhood community.

The International Space Station Program (ISSP) at St. Francis Catholic High School is a one-of-a-kind STEM opportunity that gives students hands-on experience in real aerospace research and engineering. As part of a small group of only ten high schools nationwide selected each year, participants work as a project team to research, design, code, and test an original experiment that meets NASA specifications and is launched to the International Space Station aboard a SpaceX or Northrop Grumman rocket. Students receive real data from astronauts in microgravity, analyze results when the experiment returns to Earth, and may even publish their findings, all while building advanced skills in science, math, and engineering. Guided by experienced mentors and rooted in St. Francis’s strong tradition of robotics and STEM excellence, this selective program offers young women an extraordinary chance to contribute to real scientific discovery and experience the excitement of space research firsthand.

La Familia is a club dedicated to educating both Hispanic and non Hispanic troubies in the culture as well as language of the hispano-hablante communities of the world.

The Love Life Club will consist of annual once a month meetings where members will celebrate different aspects of life and will be given service hour opportunities to volunteer with various organizations pertaining to the certain aspect of life we are celebrating that month, such as people living in poverty, homelessness, those with down syndrome, low-income pregnant mothers, elderly, etc.

This club will meet monthly with speakers, programs with emergency medicine, offer opportunities (such as internships and classes) to the girls, and maybe create contact between them and a physician/medical worker of interest.

Origami club is a club for people who are interested in learning or know how to do origami. We make powerpoints on how to make different origami projects each month that are usually themed to the month. We will also be making paper cranes to donate to the Wishing Club Project all year. This organization donates the paper cranes to hospice pateints. Our club also gives back to the school as well. Last year we made origami birds and butterflies for the one act, Rainbow Goblins, as props. This year we will probably work with the theater again and help make props for Into the Woods.

We like anything related to Percy Jackson and Harry Potter, whether you like one or the other, or both! There will things related to both of those franchises, such as watching the Harry Potter Movies, or the Percy Jackson TV shows, play capture the flag, or host a blue food potluck, just to name a few things we have done in the past. We will also usually do Kahoots relating to the series.

This club will unite Persian people on campus while also celebrating the persian culture and sharing it without fellow Troubie sisters who may not know much about our culture.

The Racial Justice League Club strives to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all Troubies on campus, no matter their background. By having proactive conversations and looking at the world around us, we aim to make not only our campus, but the world a more open-minded place. By focusing on DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) work, we work together to find ways to improve our community.

A Red Cross Club is an extension of a local Red Cross region or Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Station where students serve as a community to support others. Along with training and leadership development opportunities, students are work in mission-related activities in the community, while delivering lifesaving services of the Red Cross.

A club designed to spark interest in girls rugby. We will watch game film, explain how the game works, and teach about the importance of fitness/athletic training.

We would be teaching Troubies to lift weights and be comfortable in the gym.

Give people the opportunity to discover beach volleyball more through practices and scrimmages against other local teams. Help find opportunities outside of school for people to pursue such as local tournaments or clinics. Create a community of people that share a love for the sport.

The focus of this club is to explore science and to encourage young women to pursue STEM-related fields! We will explore fields of science not taught in the classroom and do science activities during meetings, such as experiments, trivia games, and presentations. We will also work together to create community outreach projects and activities to help bolster interest in our science community.

The Slime for Smiles Club supports all SFHS ISOs by encouraging members to live out their faith through compassionate service, creating and delivering slime to hospitalized children. This fosters excellence as students develop creativity, critical thinking, and emotional wellness. The club also promotes leadership by requiring members to collaborate, organize, and take initiative in service projects. Lastly, the club embodies the spirit of service, addressing the needs of vulnerable children and practicing social justice, thereby fulfilling the responsibilities of active and responsible citizenship.

A club for those who enjoy South Asian culture and are willing to come in with an open mind. There are different branches of ways to get involved, the dance team, watching popular Bollywood movies, going to cultural events, and bringing Indian culture to SFHS.

St. Francis Spikeball club is a fun and open club where Troubies can come to play a sport they love with their friends. Spikeball is a team sport that involves elements of handball and volleyball. It’s a game anyone can play and we will always make sure competition is geared towards inclusivity and spirit of camaraderie. People of all skill levels are welcomed and encouraged to join. Activities in our club will include information meetings to learn how to play the game, play days where Troubies can come together to play spikeball and hangout. Finally our sport can even help host spikeball tournaments in lower serra court. Troubies who are interested in the sport can also come and learn the sport, practice, play, and go out to crush it!!

In STEM Club, we train for the American Computer Science League (ACSL) Competition, and also will be inviting guest speakers from various STEM fields. The Society of Women Engineers is part of an international not-for-profit educational and service organization that helps to bridge the gender gap in the field.

Running technical aspects of school productions, rallies, assemblies, masses, showcases, and other St. Francis events.

We are an a capella group that performs at different events for the arts, as well as during different outreach events for performing arts groups.

This club will meet twice a month and paint something different each time. Some examples of the mediums we will paint on are jeans, tote bags, or t-shirts. Every participant in the club is required to bring $5 in order to fund the supplies: paint, brushes, ect. Jeans and t-shirts (the mediums we work upon) would need to be brought by the individual on the day of the meeting/event. The majority of our meetings will take place after school or during lunch and each “project” would span a multitude of meetings. This club is mainly made as a way to make new friends, meet new people, and express creativity.

The Mandolin is St. Francis’ student-run newspaper. The Mandolin reports on global, local, and school news through a hard-working, dedicated team of writers and editors. The Mandolin publishes five editions a year, with a variety of articles ranging from current world events to crossword puzzles!

The Mirror is the literary magazine at St. Francis. We publish an edition each semester which contain poems, pictures, short stories, and more from St. Francis students.

The Pink Rose Book Club would read fiction novels by female authors and other feminist literature followed by discussions about the texts and topics they speak to. We would engage in rhetoric in ideas about what it means to be a woman and femininity.

The Puzzle Project is a service club that helps the elderly and the sick and plans to meet at least one to two times a month. During meetings, our members have the choice of either putting together homemade puzzle booklets (crosswords, word searches, kid-themed activity booklets) via a website or making handmade fleece-tie blankets. In addition, all members will write a heartfelt card to those in need. After our meetings, we plan on bundling the blanket, booklet, and card and sending the bundles to both hospitals (Kaiser, Sutter, Mercy) and elderly homes. We have also created a website over the summer, as we hope to start as a service club and expand into a 501(c)(3). 

Troubie TV Club is for those who are not in live Troubie TV episodes but still want to contribute. Troubies can create segments and news reports to be aired on Troubie TV Live!

Troubies In Politics will inform Troubies about all things politics and government, from the voting system, to political parties, to the structure of government. It is open to all people who want to learn more about politics and find ways to get involved with it. We will encourage registering and pre-registering for voting, give recourses to complete political service hours, and overall provide Troubies with more knowledge of our democracy. We are planning to have events, like bringing in Politicians and people in government to talk to club members, and host a trip to the Capital. Especially since this year is an election year, now more than ever, it is important to learn about the political events going on in our world. We will ensure this club is welcoming and accepting of all beliefs and ensure everyone’s voice is heard.

This club focuses on educating girls on business skills, whether that is taxes, stocks, etc. We provide amazing resources to better become aware of the tools surrounding you with guest speakers, slides presentations, and facilitating Career Day.

This club is about true crimes, unsolved mysterious, forensics, criminology, psychology and how the brain works. We will talk about factors that have led to infamous crimes, and the minds behind who did it. We will also talk about forensic psychology/psychiatry. We will play games like whodunit and try solving unsolved mysteries. Our slogan is: Unveiling the secrets: real crime, real stories. If possible: we would try to have guest speakers like self defense or people come in and talk about being aware in your surroundings and knowing how to protect yourself in situations. We will also explore how to be a police officer and what they do and the process of becoming one and the different levels and branches of work within law enforcement.
