French IV is an advanced level course designed for the motivated student who wishes to complete four years of a foreign language. This courses aims to develop an Intermediate Low to Intermediate Mid level of language proficiency (in accordance with ACTFL – American Council of Teaching of Foreign Languages) in all areas of the language: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students read and study various literary genre. Discussions of literary pieces and foreign films as well as conversations about current events promote facility in speaking. There is a strong emphasis in writing. UC A-G approved – e Language Other than English. NCAA approved.
