Dear Families,

As we continue our Lenten journey, I’d like to share something a colleague passed on to me.  It is a list of “Lifelong Lenten Observances.”  I will share a few of the 75 that are on the list.  It is great food for thought as we look to renew ourselves in Christ this season.

  • Talk to God daily.
  • Savor simple things.
  • Every day, be kind to a stranger.
  • Learn to be silent.
  • Bless your money so that as you use it, it will bless others.
  • Go to Confession, especially if you can’t remember the last time you went.
  • Strive to become holy.
  • Don’t be hard on yourself.
  • Be humble.

Our Lord invites us to come back to Him in a deeply personal way this season.  May your Lenten observances do just that.  St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
