Academic Internship Coordinator, University of Portland


Elizabeth is a higher education professional specializing in career and internship advising, program and curriculum development, and event planning. Throughout college at the University of Oregon, Elizabeth worked in the University Housing Office and was involved with the St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center through the student leadership team. After majoring in English and minoring in French and Business, she moved to France for a year to teach English through the Teaching Assistant Program in France. In Normandy, she lived in a house with six French roommates. She returned to Sacramento and worked at St. Francis High School in the Advancement Department, as a substitute teacher, and JV Volleyball Coach. She moved to Portland to work at Portland State University in the University Housing and Residence Life Office. During this time, she completed her Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy from Portland State University. She currently works for the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Portland as the Academic Internship Coordinator. She believes in the value of experiential learning (internships, research, leadership positions, service learning, etc.) in college, and is dedicated to assisting students in their career development process. Elizabeth lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and two sons.
