Principal’s Newletter 8/16/19
Dear St. Francis Families,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! We are blessed to have our Troubies back on campus. It has been a busy week for everyone, but we were excited to see the energy and enthusiasm your daughters brought back to school this week.
While there is a lot of enthusiasm reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, there can also be some nervousness or anxiety adjusting to a new routine, especially after a long summer break. As adults, we know these feelings are temporary and will most certainly disappear in the coming days and weeks. We ask that you check-in with your daughters and reassure them that acclimating to a new routine is quite normal. Encourage them to speak with you at home or seek assistance from our Wellness and/or Guidance Department if they wish to. We are here to help!
Also, next Wednesday, August 21st, is our annual Welcome Back Mass. We invite parents and grandparents to join us for the Mass in the gymnasium at 10:00 a.m. Please stop by the front office to sign in when you arrive on campus. If you have not experienced a St. Francis school-wide Mass, I encourage you to do so, as it is a beautiful experience. If you can’t make it to the Welcome Back Mass, I look forward to seeing you on Back to School Night, Thursday, August 29th.
St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
Pax et Bonum (peace and goodness),
