Email blast

Dear St. Francis Families,

It is hard to believe that we are less than a month away from the start of the 2020-2021 school year. With the announcements that were made this week by local area school districts, I know many new questions have arisen about what St. Francis will be doing in the fall.

Given Governor Newsom’s announcement today, we will be reviewing the new California Department of Public Health guidelines regarding the reopening of schools.  Please read our Superintendent’s message regarding today’s announcement.  Memorandum from Superintendent Lincoln Snyder, July 17, 2020

We will be fully prepared to implement any of the three options outlined in our Safe Return to School Plan. While it remains our hope to try to have students and faculty on campus in a safe manner as much as possible, we recognize that the new coronavirus can alter our plans at a moment’s notice. We will always defer to the safest and best choice available to us. The flexibility of the plan is that we can transition from our Synchronous Hybrid Learning Model to a full 100% Instructor-Led Distance Learning Model as and when needed.

Regardless of what our state or county leaders decide about the reopening plans for private schools, we will continue to provide a robust academic education and St. Francis experience in a faith-filled environment. Whatever transpires over the coming days and weeks, know that we are committed to supporting your daughter through any challenges, no matter what those look like. We are a faith community that you and your daughter/s can depend on.

Four months ago, we didn’t know that we would still be dealing with rising COVID-19 cases, much less contemplating another possible semester of Distance Learning. We still don’t know all that the next four months will bring, but I want you to know that we are committed to making the upcoming school year impactful and meaningful for our students and you. We are a community, and I am optimistic that we’ll be together again soon. May God continue to bless you and your family!

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!

St. Clare of Assisi, pray for us!

In the spirit of Pax et Bonum (peace and goodness),
