Dear St. Francis Families,

I realize the announcement that we would be starting the 2020-2021 school year via Distance Learning was not what many of you had hoped. I’ve heard from several parents over the past few days about their concerns regarding this virtual learning model. I agree with you that there is no substitution for in-person instruction. Nonetheless, our amazing faculty/staff spent the last quarter of the school year learning and being nimble to adjust to this new teaching modality. Due to that experience, they are now even better prepared and equipped to make the transition once again and have spent some time this summer preparing for this new COVID-19 reality. I cannot thank them enough for the labor and love that has gone into this planning and re-planning, even as they also are mourning the opportunity to be in-person with their students and making adjustments for their own families.

As we continue to work with the Diocese and Sacramento County Health Office to monitor the situation, you have my assurance that we will continue to provide a robust academic experience and faith-filled Catholic education for your daughter.  Whatever transpires over the coming weeks, know that we are committed to supporting your daughter through any challenges, no matter what those look like.

I thank you for your continued support, as we continue to navigate the ripples created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are a faith community, and I know that we will get through this together.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!

St. Clare of Assisi, pray for us!

In the spirit of Pax et Bonum (peace and goodness),
