Email blast

Dear St. Francis Families,

We are a few days away from our faculty/staff returning to campus to prepare for the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Regardless of the current COVID-19 situation and commencing the school year via distance learning,  I know that our faculty/staff is excited to reconnect with your daughters and provide an enriching educational experience.

There’s a variety of scheduled meetings next week that will bring our faculty/staff up to speed on our reopening plan, as well as COVID safety protocols. If you’ve reached out to teachers or guidance counselors over the summer break, please be patient, they have a lot of emails/voicemails to respond to, but rest assured they will get back to you.

Also, due to the current Sacramento County Public Health Order, we remain on the county watch list which prevents us from doing certain events in large numbers. Due to these restrictions, we’ve had to re-envision our freshmen/transfer student welcome, and additional class orientation days. That week is still in planning flux and more information will be coming next week. I appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we adjust to this ever-changing situation.

We are working diligently behind the scenes to re-imagine events, activities, and traditions to preserve the fond memories that many of our students and alumnae cherish about their St. Francis experience. We’ll continue to think creatively to make this school year memorable and special for all of our Troubies.

Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for the start of another memorable school year.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
St. Clare of Assisi, pray for us!

In the spirit of Pax et Bonum (peace and goodness),

Elias Mendoza
