Dear St. Francis Families,

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year! We are blessed to have many new and returning families with excited Troubies back on our campus. It was a pleasant sight, seeing all the enthusiasm and energy they brought to our school this week.

While there is a lot of excitement reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, there can also be some nervousness or anxiety adjusting to a new routine, especially after a long summer break. As adults, we know these feelings are temporary and will most certainly disappear in the coming days.  We ask that you check-in with your Troubie/s. Reassure them that acclimating to a new routine is quite normal, and encourage them to speak with you at home or seek assistance from our Wellness and/or Guidance Department. We are here to help!

In the upcoming week, we invite parents and grandparents to join us for our Welcome Mass on Wednesday, August 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. in the gym. Please come to the front office to sign in. If you have not experienced a St. Francis school-wide Mass, I encourage you to join us for a beautiful experience. We also are looking forward to seeing you at Back To School Night on Thursday, August 23rd.

St. Francis of Assisi pray for us!

Pax et Bonum (peace and goodness),

Elias Mendoza
