Dr. Sabrina Young is a Research Economist for the USDA’s Economic Research Service, focusing her research on safety net policy (especially SNAP, or “food stamps”), food insecurity, diet quality, and health across the United States. She has a BA in Philosophy & Government, an MA in Philosophy, and a PhD in Public Health. Sabrina’s journey to where she is now has been anything but linear. In addition to her current career path, she can speak about studying, living, and working abroad; finding your path when you’re not sure where you want to go; and embracing your skills in any field. She currently lives in Chicago, Illinois and loves teaching and practicing yoga, baking sourdough, and writing.
