Emma Roses ‘13
Speech Language Pathologist, Aegis Therapies

After graduating from St. Francis in 2013, I had no idea what I wanted to major in as a freshman at Long Beach State. I loved my Spanish and English classes my senior year, but in the back of my mind I knew that I always wanted to work in healthcare. When I was browsing the course catalog in my dorm one day, I found “Communication Sciences and Disorders”, went to my first Anatomy and Physiology class, and knew this was the career for me. If you are interested in a career in which you can work with any age group, with cognitively and linguistically diverse individuals, and make meaningful changes in people’s lives, then come find out more about being an SLP.
