After graduating St Francis in 1995, I obtained my BA in Political Science from Gonzaga University. I then obtained my law degree (Juris Doctor) in 2002 from Santa Clara University School of Law where I achieved many honors, awards and attended on a full merit scholarship.  I have practiced law for almost 19 years and had my own law practice for the last 16 years.  I have done mostly real estate and business law and litigation, but also employment law, personal injury, probate, contracts and family law.  I was the President of the CA Association of Black Lawyers and have served on the board for over 18 years.  I also teach full time and run the Paralegal Studies Department at Merritt College.  I also obtained my Real Estate Brokers License.  And most recently, for the past 8 years I own and run Quality Cleaning Professionals, a commercial janitorial company that has grown into a multi million dollar business, has over 75 employees and continuing to grow.  I worked mostly in the bay area but relocated to the Sacramento area in 2015.  I now live in El Dorado Hills with my husband, my 5 year old son and my 2 year old daughter.  I am co-chair of the St. Francis Black Alumni Association along with Natalie Allen, class of 2009. Can’t wait to meet you all!
