2021-2022 Christian Service Requirements and Reminders
All students were able to start their student service beginning June 1, 2021. All hours need to be completed, logged, and verified by March 4, 2022.
The 2021-2022 Christian Service period is June 1, 2021- March 4, 2022. Listed below are the requirements for each grade.
- Grade 9: 10 hours of service (in-person or remote) at one or more pre-approved, non-profit organizations
- Grade 10: 15 hours of service (in-person or remote) at one or more pre-approved, non-profit organizations
- Grade 11: 20 hours of service (in-person or remote) at one or more pre-approved, non-profit organizations
- Grade 12: 30 hours of service (in-person or remote) at one or more pre-approved, non-profit organizations
Students are expected to track and verify their service hours using the MobileServe app. Here is a “Getting Started” guide for new students to set up an account. We ask that students use their TroubieMail (school e-mail) address when setting up an account and that they “join their class” (steps 7 & 8 in the guide). If a student fails to join the class or categorize their service entries, Campus Ministry cannot see their progress toward achieving the yearly requirement.
As we return to full in-person learning, all aspects of eligibility for extracurricular activities will be observed. This includes the completion of service requirements.
Students who received an INC on their Semester 2 report card for the 2020-21 academic year, have until August 1 to clear the delinquency, no exceptions. It is the student’s responsibility to contact Ms. Villanueva (firstname.lastname@example.org), Campus Minister for Service, to report completed delinquent service hours. For more information about Christian Service requirements, parents can visit the school’s website. Students are encouraged to visit their class page in Schoology (Campus Ministry >Christian Service) for opportunities and resources. On-going and upcoming service events can also be found using the “Opportunity” tab in the MobileServe app.
