Basketball’s Nicolos Named to Sacramento Bee All-Metro, Optimist Teams
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior basketball standout Marlee Nicolos was named to the Sacramento Bee All-Metro team on Friday as announced in the newspaper daily edition. Nicolos was named to the paper’s fifth team.
Nicolos led the team in points (14.5, third in Delta League), rebounds (9.5, third in DL), field-goal percentage (50, 2nd in DL) and 3-pt field goal field-goal percentage (42). She was named the team’s Offensive Player of the Year and was named to the All-Delta League team.
Nicolos was also named to the Optimist All-Star game but will not play due to the injury that sidelined her at the end of the season. The game will be played Saturday night at Sacramento High.
Nicolos, who is from Elk Grove, has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play soccer at Santa Clara University this fall.
