Financial Literacy Workshops for ALL Students

News

The St. Francis Troubies Who Mean Business Club will be hosting a series of financial literacy workshops to support students in their life in high school, college, and beyond. We encourage students of all years to attend the session, offered via Zoom from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on January 28th. The topic is Making Life Choices That Make “Cents.”

Thanks to the support of a generous benefactor, we will have a contest where students can win scholarship money, which can be applied to their St. Francis tuition or set aside for college. To be eligible for the scholarship contest, students MUST have attended all three workshops (1/14/21, 1/21/21, and 1/28/21). They will then have an option to submit one or multiple essays based on a prompt from each workshop.  Prizes will be:

  • $1,000 Grand prize winner:  This essay will have a separate prompt.
  • $500 Prize for the winning essay from each of three session prompts.

Students can win in more than one category. The student will need to submit a 500 to 750-word essay for any and all of the four prompts. Contest details will be published separately.

Encourage your daughter or granddaughter to attend!  All students were sent an RSVP form.
