During the month of October, our College Advisors are spending every spare minute writing letters of recommendation for the Vanellopes, because many colleges and universities have Early Action deadlines of October 15, November 1, or November 15. If a senior is applying Early Action, she should have 1) invited her College Advisor (in the role of Counselor) and Teachers to her Common Application 2) turned in her letter of recommendation packet and parent brag sheet and 3) scheduled an appointment with her College Advisor to discuss her early application plans. If these steps have not been completed yet, they should be done as soon as possible.

It will be challenging to schedule one-on-one appointments with Ms. Austin and Ms. Lee during October. Students should take advantage of ELEDEF (Every Lunch, Every Day, Except Friday), where they will find one or both College Advisors sitting at a table in front of the Counseling & College Center ready to answer questions and work on college applications.
