Junior Parents–End of the Year Update from Guidance
Today the Class of 2022 was sent an email that contained a lot of college-related information, as well as reminded them of the resources that they have in the Guidance folder in Schoology.
Throughout the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year, we have offered 10 Just for Juniors workshops as well as 2 career exploration workshops. The College Advisors also met one-on-one with most of the junior class for college planning meetings. In our final Just for Juniors, which occurred on Wednesday, May 4, we had a review of our prior Just for Juniors meetings, and we focused on the next steps in the college planning process. We reminded your daughters that they have access to all of our prior presentations, we shared a Summer Checklist, which includes things they can work on over the summer, and we introduced them to their College Planning and Letter of Recommendation packet, which will be due upon their return to campus in August (when they will be SENIORS). In addition to the College Planning and Letter of Recommendation packet, we shared the Parent Brag Sheet, which your daughter should be giving to you to complete on her behalf. This is a chance for you to brag a little about your daughter and share some insights with us. We hope it is a fun exercise for you to reflect on the incredible person she has become. All 3 of these documents were emailed to your daughter, and they can also be found in the Guidance folder in Schoology.
It has been a pleasure getting to know your daughters this year, and we are looking forward to working together with her and your family, as we assist with the college application process in the fall.
