News Cynthia Cost Kymberly Weinandy

As we continue to talk to students and parents the cases of Fentanyl  poisoning and death are on the rise not just in the USA, but in Sacramento. The lethalness of this drug and the recent death of a Roseville teen make it an important discussion for you to have with your daughter. Fentanyl is an extremely potent synthetic opioid fentanyl is appearing as — colorful pills and powders that look like candy or sidewalk chalk. It has even been found inside candies (similar to skittles) and in vapes. Fentanyl is as much as 100 times stronger than morphine,  Just a few milligrams —the size of salt grains — can be enough to kill. While we have not had a case on the grounds of SFHS, it is very important to educate your daughter and yourselves on the deadliness of this drug.
