Science Olympiad – FROSH we need you! Open to ALL students too!

This is an academic team that meets Fridays after school from 3:15-4:30 in Room 343. We have our main competition Saturday, March 5 and some practice competitions before then, also on Saturday.

So what is the Science Olympiad? It a national organization where a school has a team of 15 students who compete in 23 different science events ranging from Biology to Chemistry to Engineering and Earth Science. We study and apply some topics that you will not be able to study in your high school classes. Students compete as partners in each event, so you are not alone in the competition.  Last year, we had 3 teams and all teams scored in the top half of the teams in the Sacramento region. It was our best year yet and we are looking forward to another great year.

Students come to informational meetings on Tuesday Aug 31 or Wednesday Sept 1 at lunch in 343 to see more about what we are about.  Here is a list of this year’s events.
