VOLUNTEERING: What’s required to volunteer on campus.
We are grateful for our parent and grandparent volunteers and couldn’t run our events without you! See MVP site for details.
For the 2021-2022 school year, all volunteers on campus are required to comply with the following Diocesan Requirements:
1. Create an MVP Account under an individual name.
Each volunteer needs their own MVP account and cannot share within family members, although family hours will be consolidated at the end of the year.

2. Fingerprint Clearance
Per California state law and to ensure the safety of our students, St. Francis upholds the diocesan policy that ALL VOLUNTEERS on campus are required to have Live Scan fingerprint clearance through the California District Attorney’s Office on file with the Diocese. Clearance can take two-three weeks to be submitted to SFHS, and we apologize for recent delays.
Note: If you have completed the fingerprint process at a previous Catholic school or parish within the diocese, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request your record be transferred to St. Francis.

3. Safe Haven Online Training Completion (formerly Shield the Vulnerable)
This is a video series with three short quizzes at the end of each video. The entire training takes approximately one hour to complete, which includes acknowledgement of our diocesan policies. The training must be renewed every three (3) years.

4. COVID Clearance
ALL VOLUNTEERS on campus are required to have a COVID vaccination card on file with Dean Cost OR show proof of a negative COVID test within 72 hours of volunteer duties. COVID testing may be from a medical facility or home nasal test (no saliva test). The test must be dated and signed and a picture copy must be sent to Dean Cost on the same day as the test. Please email vaccination card OR negative test report to CCost@stfrancishs.org. This policy does NOT apply to adults attending parent/grandparent group meetings.
Updates on COVID requirements will be provided as we receive direction from the Diocese of Sacramento/Department of Catholic Schools and California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
