Graduation Information

Starting April 13: Seniors may wear college shirts and flip-flops.

Starting April 29: Full free dress begins. *same day as the Awards Ceremony*

April 27: Used uniform collection begins—students may drop off used uniforms.

Reminder: Uniforms are required for AP Exams.

Dress Code Considerations:

May 1: Farewell Prayer Service

“Dress Code/Open Dances” rules apply. Seniors must adhere to the dress code policy and wear appropriate attire. Please reference the handbook for all Dress Code guidelines.

Attendance and discipline records will be reviewed after Easter Break. Seniors who must take finals due to attendance or discipline issues will be notified during the first week of May (not before).

Teachers will notify students individually if they are required to take a final due to grades. Dates for these exams may vary.

Elective & P.E. Courses: Seniors may be required to take a final, regardless of their grade in the class.

Graduation gowns will be distributed in front of the College and Counseling Center on May 1st following the Farewell Prayer Service at 11:10am.

Reminder: Graduation Caps and Gowns may be on hold if you have any outstanding tasks such as, outstanding bill with finance, MySchoolBucks, outstanding library books, any outstanding loans or payments due to the technology office, incomplete Christian Service Hours or athletics uniform needed to be returned. Any questions or concerns can be directed to the Assistant Principal’s Office.

To honor and acknowledge the diverse backgrounds of our students, each graduate may wear one (1) item of personal significance related to their ethnicity, culture, religion, nationality, race, color, and/or ancestry during the graduation ceremony. This item must align with Catholic teachings and the mission of our school.

Approval Process: Any senior wishing to wear an item of personal significance must submit a photo and explanation of its meaning to the Dean’s Office by Friday, May 1st, at 3:00pm for administrative review. Early submissions are encouraged in case an alternative item is needed.

Permitted Regalia: Seniors may wear CSF/NHS honor cords/stoles or academic medals earned in their senior year at SFHS.

Cap & Gown Regulations:

• Caps cannot be decorated.
• Students may wear one tassel only.
• No other decorations or symbols are allowed.

Baccalaureate: Only the designated white gown may be worn—no additional regalia or caps.

Additionally, clothing containing objectionable references, symbols, words, advertising, political or propaganda that contradicts the philosophy of St. Francis are not permitted at any time.

Questions or concerns can be directed to Dean Cost. 

Seniors are notified if they have a balance in their “mySchoolBucks” cafeteria account greater than $10. A final notice will be sent on Wednesday May 13th. If there is a younger sibling who will be attending St. Francis in the fall, the balance will automatically transfer to the younger sibling. If there is no younger sibling, students will be given the option to donate the funds to the St. Francis Fund to provide tuition assistance for incoming students or receive a refund check sent to their home.

This survey will be sent out in April and is due April 30th. It will only take a few minutes for seniors to complete and needs to be submitted before graduation please. There is an opportunity to give a shout out to a faculty or staff member who made a difference in your life and we would like you to please provide contact information (email and cell phone) for future school communications.

Baccalaureate Mass & Graduation Ceremony
We are happy to provide special accommodations for our families who may need ADA seating during the Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation Ceremony. Please note that at the graduation ceremony, one adult will be invited to accompany the individual requesting seating accommodations. (If one person needs special seating, they will be invited to have a family member sit with them.) This option is available for our Senior families who can’t walk up and down stairs, utilize a mobility device, or any other mobility assistance. All you have to do is fill out this form and be sure to state your needs for one or both events.

We’re happy to announce that we have secured additional tickets for Graduation! Each graduating senior will now receive 15 tickets total per family, rather than the originally allotted 10 tickets. This includes 5 additional tickets per graduating senior.

Seniors will pick up their full set of 15 Graduation tickets following the Baccalaureate Mass on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Please note:

• We are unable to provide more than 15 tickets per family.
• This additional ticket allocation is unique to the Class of 2026. Future graduating classes are expected to return to the standard allotment of 10 tickets per graduating senior.
