This Week in Troubie Sports…

All fall teams are in action this week as the season fully kicks into gear with the start of League play in several sports. Varsity water polo and volleyball head out of town for Labor Day Tournaments to start the week. Water Polo is at the St. Francis Fall Invite at St. Francis Mountain View on Saturday, while volleyball travels to Reno to the High Sierra Invitational. Volleyball also plays two road matches at Rocklin (Sept. 6) and at El Camino (Sept. 8). The El Camino match will be shown live on Access Sacramento. Cross Country is off this week before competing at the Ed Sias Invite on Sept. 10. Golf tees off for the first time in Delta League play against Monterey Trail on Sept. 7 and plays in the first Center match on Sept, 8 at Rancho Murieta CC. Tennis travels to Pleasant Grove in its only match of the week on Sept. 8. Water Polo (JV/V) returns to pool Friday night against McClatchy at Jesuit.

Volleyball Drops Holy Court Matchup in Five Sets

 

The St. Francis volleyball team fell in five sets to rival Christian Brothers in the annual Holy Court matchup in front of a sold out crowd. The Falcons rallied from a two-set deficit to win in five sets 22-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20, 16-14. Watch the replay on TroubieTV in case you missed it.

Water Polo – Sept. 15 vs. Rio Americano at Jesuit HS

Tennis – Oct. 6 vs. Davis at Rio del Oro Racquet Club

Volleyball – October 12 vs. Davis, St. Francis HS

Cross Country and Golf will be announced.

Fall Sports Adidas Sales

St. Francis High School has renewed its exclusive partnership with adidas Team Sports for four years. The Portland, Ore., based company will be the official apparel brand of St. Francis Troubadour Athletics through April 2020. St. Francis receives discounts off retail prices on apparel, accessories and footwear while agreeing that all student-athletes and coaches will wear Adidas game uniforms and apparel when applicable during camps, practice, camp or booster functions. The school receives an annual promotional account and discounts on MiTeam uniforms and apparel.

Lacrosse Fall Conditioning

WHEN: Monday & Wednesdays: 3:15-4:30 p.m.
WHERE: Meet in Gym Foyer
WHAT DAYS: First Day 9/14 – Last Day 12/7 (No conditioning on the following dates: 10/10, 10/24, 10/26, 11/23) 

All levels are welcome – do not bring lacrosse equipment to conditioning – wear athletic clothes and comfortable running shoes. Conditioning will be organized and lead by the senior class with oversight from the Varsity Coaches. Activities will include, running, strength training, and lacrosse skills. MUST have physical on file before beginning conditioning.
