SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis senior Lauren LaRocco ran a personal-best 17:18 at Granite Regional Park at the Delta River League meet to win the race in a course and league record time. St. Francis placed 1-2-3 with four in the top five and five in the top 10 to claim the race with 21 points.

“Madison was pushing me for the first mile and it is a relatively flat course,” said LaRocco. “It felt like a hard workout. It was nice with everyone cheering. There was a lot of support out there today.”

LaRocco set her previous best 10 days ago at the Stanford Invitational with a time of 17:59 for 5K.

“It is cool,” said LaRocco when told about her record. “It is nice to be a leader for the team and others. Hopefully everyone else can keep working and get there too.”

Senior Madison Rawson was second overall in 17:41, while junior Miranda Myers crossed the line third in 18:23. Camille Boudreax was fifth overall in 19:15 and Ariel Medina finished 10th in 19:48.

The Troubadours will run again Saturday at Granite Regional Park in The Other Meet.
