Rasmussen Leads Frosh to Win over Antelope

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – McKinley Rasmussen scored seven points as the St. Francis freshmen won their sixth consecutive game with a 45-11 victory over Antelope Saturday. The Troubadours won their sixth consecutive game to improve to 14-4 overall.

Both teams got off to a slow start with St. Francis leading 6-2 after the first eight minutes. Gabi Lopez scored four points to pace the team. The offensive pace picked up in the second as Brynne Burrows got started with seven points and Reilly McDonald added two baskets. SF held the Titans to just two baskets and led 19-6.

Antelope was scoreless in the third as six players scored for St. Francis. Rasmussen scored five points in the quarter. She finished with a career-high tying seven points, equaling her seven points against El Camino on Dec. 4., and had five rebounds.

St. Francis closed out the game with a 10-point fourth quarter as Krysta Alvarez scored four points and finished with six for the game and grabbed five boards with two assists and two steals. Sydney Galvan led the team with seven boards. Burrows led the team with 10 points

St. Francis returns to action in a newly added game at El Dorado High School at 4 p.m.
