Swimmer Mitchell Named to NISCA/Speedo All-America Team

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Rising senior Chloe Mitchell has been named to the NISCA/Speedo Girls High School All-America team in the 500 freestyle. She placed 89th overall in the event with her personal-best time from the Sac-Joaquin Section Championships.

Mitchell, who is from El Dorado Hills, qualified for the first CIF State Championships in the 500 freestyle and helped the team place fourth overall in the varsity meet at the Sac-Joaquin Section Swimming Championships held at Tokay High School. She swam a personal-best in the 500 freestyle for the second straight race, finishing fourth with a time of 4:56.05.

She claimed two individual varsity titles helping the team to the Delta League Championship, earning All-Delta League honors in both the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events. She was named one of the team most valuable players and was named to the River Cats All-City team for the second consecutive season.

She is scheduled to swim in the Speedo Future Series hosted by USA Swimming July 30-Aug. 2 in Mt. Hood, Ore.
