Troubadours Fall in Semifinals to Ponderosa

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis varsity volleyball team finished tied for third in its own Super 8 Invitational on Saturday at St. Francis. The Troubadours went 2-1 in Pool A with wins over Vacaville (25-11, 25-13) and Whitney (25-18, 25-14) before falling in three to Cosumnes Oaks 21-25, 25-23, 15-12.

The Troubadours lost to eventual champion Ponderosa in three sets in the semifinals before the Bruins went on to defeat Cosumnes Oaks in the final; Elk Grove won the consolation bracket.

The Troubies finish Delta League play this week with matches at Franklin and at home against Monterey Trail. The six seniors will be recognized before the match on Wednesday.
