Kevin Warren
Head Varsity Softball Coach

Kevin Warren enters his 17th season with the St. Francis High School softball program. This will be his second year as head coach after serving as an assistant coach under long time head coach, Al LoGiudice. During his time coaching at St. Francis, the varsity softball team has won eight league titles and two Sac-Joaquin Section second place finishes.

Warren is also the head coach for the 16U California Breeze Softball team. This team has finished 3rd, 17th and 9th the past three years at PGF Premier Nationals. In 2016, the team was ranked #12 in the nation at the 14U level.

Al LoGiudice
Assistant Varsity Softball Coach

Al LoGiudice begins his 27th season working with the St. Francis softball program. He will serve as an assistant in 2016 after leading the program as a co-head coach with his best friend Kevin Warren for the last 16 years. They have coached together off and on for 26 years.

St. Francis has won nine league titles during his tenure on the diamond and led the team to two Sac-Joaquin Section second-place finishes.

Sara Brabec
Junior Varsity Softball Head Coach

Sara Brabec joined the St. Francis staff as the junior varsity softball coach for the 2016 season.

Brabec teaches Theology as Jesuit High School and is the Christian Service Coordinator. Prior to Jesuit, she served in previous positions at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Ill., and Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland. She was an assistant with the JV softball program at Loyola Academy from 2014-15.

Sean Smith
Assistant Varsity Softball Coach

Sean Smith begins his first year at St. Francis as an assistant varsity coach after coaching competitive softball for the past four years. Since 2013, he and Kevin Warren have coached a highly successful competitive softball team that has placed 3rd and 17th at PGF Nationals over the last two years. \

Sean and his wife Kristi have two daughters: Sydney, who is in the 7th grade and Chloe, who is a freshman at St. Francis.

2009 Softball Season Highlights

JV Softball finished 9-1 in league and won the JV title with an overall record of 18-8.

The Varsity Softball team placed 2nd at the Nor Cal Classic (gold division). Mya Romero, and Carlie Nicodemus were honored with All Tourney awards .

Our Troubies are battling hard to try to make a playoff spot in a very tough league this year (Sheldon was ranked #1 Nationally at the beginning of the season). Currently our SF team is ranked #6 in the Sacramento Bee for the area.
