Second Service Deadline: December 21, 2023

News Stephanie Villanueva '98

From June 1, 2023 to December 21, 2023, students should have at least served the following number of hours:

  • Class of 2024- 20 hours
  • Class of 2025- 14 hours
  • Class of 2026- 10 hours
  • Class of 2027- 6 hours

This requirement is recorded on the Semester 1 report card and transcript. Students must achieve this deadline to remain eligible to participate in extracurricular activities, including but not limited to athletics, arts productions, and school dances.

When students are seeking or committing to service opportunities, please keep in mind the following:

  • Hours are required to be completed on-site at a nonprofit organization. Hours must be recorded and verified in the MobileServe app.
  • Donations of goods, food, or money do not qualify for student service hours.
  • Emails advertising service opportunities are sent directly to students. Students are encouraged to take advantage of these because they do not require an orientation or parent participation– which is especially helpful for 9th & 10th graders. These events are also an excellent way to connect with other Troubies.

The Approved Service Organizations list is helpful for students looking for service opportunities. Students can submit a Special Permission Request Form for consideration if a desired organization is not included on the current approved service organization list.

Please direct student-related service questions to the Campus Minister for Christian Service.
