Transportation Options

St. Francis High School serves students from the greater Sacramento area. Students and parents make their own car-pool or other transportation arrangements, including private bus service and light rail.

Carpooling

Incoming and current students may obtain a roster for carpooling. If you are interested in carpooling, please complete the Carpool Interest Form. A spreadsheet of interested families will be emailed to participating families each year in May and on an as-needed basis.

Bus Service

The Placer Bus Group serves the Highway 80 corridor to St. Francis and Jesuit High School. It provides stops at Lake of the Pines (Grass Valley), St Joseph (Auburn), Rocklin (Rocklin Ave) and Roseville (Riverside/Cirby). Students who live around the Carmichael area can get on at Jesuit High School and continue on to St Francis. For more information, visit the Placer Bus Group website Placer Bus Group

Light Rail

A light rail station is located at 65th and Folsom, a few blocks from St. Francis. For light rail information, visit www.sacrt.com. The City of Sacramento has approved a free transit pass program for all K-12 students on all Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) buses and light rail that begins in October 2019 (click here for article).
