Email blast
Dr. Fadia Desmond

Dear St. Francis Families,

Hopefully you have recovered from our infamous Homecoming week!  Whether it was your first time experiencing it through your daughter’s eyes or your last time as a senior parent, it is a cherished tradition that represents sisterhood, celebration, and abounding love for our school.  Believe it or not we are already ramping up for another exciting week on campus so brace yourself!

We will start next week focused on our faith and remembrance of loved ones as we gather as a community to worship at our All Saints Day Mass on Wednesday, November 1st. We will be joined by several members of our Board of Trustees who will also be visiting classrooms before and after mass. I hope you received the email invitation to submit the names of your deceased loved ones and to join us for the All Saints Day Mass where we will hold them in prayer. We have over 500 names submitted for our prayer requests for deceased loved ones.

The very next day we will be hosting  the Now 100.5 Stand Up & Swipe Out Bullying concert right here on campus in Serra Court for the 3rd time!  We’ll have two performers – MAX and The Band CAMINO.  I thought I didn’t know either of them, but soon realized MAX’s song “Lights Down Low” is all over the radio.  November 2nd was already slated for our largest annual day of giving, Thankful Thursday, and it just so happens that it aligns perfectly with our concert.  Our Thankful Thursday efforts are singularly focused on making sure a St. Francis education is available and accessible to all the young women in our region.  I am grateful to have both a fun and faith focused week ahead for Troubies!

In the spirit of Pax et Bonum,

Fadia Desmond, Ph.D.
