Tech Office
MySchoolBucks
The Serra Court Café is cashless and uses MySchoolBucks for all student meal accounts. If you are new to the school, you can set up a free MySchoolBucks account by following the instructions on our website. Parents/students can also drop a check off in the front office payable to St. Francis Catholic High School to avoid online fees. Please include your daughter’s name and year on the memo line. Students may also bring cash to the register in Serra Court Cafe to have funds added to their account.
All new families will be emailed login credentials and instructions in late July 2025. Current families can continue to use their current login information.
Chromebook Pick-Up & Training Sessions
All incoming students are provided a school-issued Chromebook to use while attending SFHS. Students must attend a pick-up and training session, scheduled at various times throughout the summer. During this session, students will be familiarized with the Chromebook and learn about the software platforms used during the school year. To sign up for a session, please register here. Please note: Summer school students will get their Chromebook and training during their summer course and do not need to sign up for an additional pick-up session. Questions? Reach out to sftech@stfrancishs.org.
Chromebook Insurance
Parents are encouraged to purchase supplemental insurance offered by the school through our vendor, Securranty. Chromebook Insurance can be purchased for $34.95 a year. Securranty will provide coverage for device malfunction, accidental damage, loss, theft, and standard perils. We strongly recommend all students purchase insurance by August 31, 2025. Insurance must be purchased annually for policies to remain current. When purchasing insurance, you will need your student’s ID number and asset tag number, the four-digit code found on the white sticker on the bottom of her Chromebook. To purchase insurance, click here.
Chromebooks During the Summer
Chromebooks left dormant during the summer can result in battery failure and device malfunction. We recommend students turn on their Chromebooks every two weeks to make sure they are functioning properly. Contact SFTech@stfrancishs.org or stop by the office M-F, 7:30am -3:00pm with Chromebook issues.
Grades, Assignments, and So Much More
St. Francis uses two components of the PowerSchool system for parents to track their student/s progress while they are at St. Francis.
Schedules 2025-2026
Student schedules were emailed to Troubiemail accounts and parent
emails June 30. While we have done our best to minimize course
conflicts, there may be times when we are unable to honor all
requests. This may occur when a student requests classes that are
offered simultaneously during the same block, such as Advanced
Placement, Honors, or specialty classes like Student Leadership.
Additionally, when classes reach capacity (for example, Yoga) we
have substituted another course in the same department. These
substitutions or omissions are not considered a mistake.
For questions, please reach out to counseling@stfrancishs.org.
Counselors will be available in August to answer specific
schedule questions.
Final Forms
Final Forms is the official online registration process for parents and students, used for back-to-school forms, including medical and emergency information, and forms that are required prior to participation in athletics at St. Francis. Parents of student-athletes, particularly those competing in fall sports, should register their daughters on FinalForms as soon as possible. All parents will need to complete their students’ back-to-school registration information no later than August 7th. If you have any questions about logging into your account, please reach out to SFTech@stfrancishs.org.
SchoolMessenger Opt-In
Our school utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages straight to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts, and more. You can participate in this free service just by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587. You can also opt out of these messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”. For more information, click here.
Senior Chromebooks, Troubiemail, and Google Drive
Graduating seniors are welcome to keep their school-issued Chromebook. They have been emailed instructions on how to deprovision and set the Chromebook up as a personal device.
Semester Grades
Semester Grades: Second semester grades will be available for parents and students in the PowerSchool Portal on June 2, 2025. Semester grades are listed on the official transcript and include the final letter grade for year-long and semester classes.
Senior Parents: On June 4, 2025, seniors’ records will be updated to “graduated” and both students and parents will no longer be able to view student information in PowerSchool.
Chromebook Apps and Extensions for 25-26
Over this past year, the Technology department has been monitoring the performance of school-issued Chromebooks. We have noticed that many apps and extensions downloaded by students are slowing down the Chromebooks due to high memory use and tracking. Due to this, on June 1, the school will be limiting the types of apps and extensions available to download on the school-issued Chromebooks to only those that are approved by the school.
Replacement Chromebook Chargers
Students needing replacement chargers should make sure they are purchasing a compatible charger to avoid device damage. We recommend purchasing a Dell charger, or a verified alternative charger. Both are available on Amazon.
PowerSchool Portal and Schoology Access
PowerSchool Student/Parent Portal and Schoology credentials were sent to all incoming and transfer parents on July 29, 2024. Any questions about credentials or access can be directed to Lori Ansell.
Classwize
Beginning this summer, St. Francis will roll out a new in class management software on student Chromebooks called Classwize. Classwize provides teachers with a dashboard to help students by minimizing distracting, non-relevant websites and apps during class time, and maximizing learning. It will also allow teachers to lock down Chromebooks during digital exams and assessments, replicating experiences students may encounter with College Board examinations (PSAT/SAT/AP) and in college.
Chromebook Pick-Up for Class of 2028 and Transfers
First session summer school students may pick up their Chromebooks on June 4 from 3:00-5:00pm, or June 5 from 8:00-10:00am. Second session summer school students may pick up their Chromebooks on June 26 from 3:00-5:00pm.
Parent Software Used at St. Francis
St. Francis uses a variety of software products to keep parents informed and engaged.
Chromebook/Charger Loaner Program Update
The Technology Department has seen an excessive number of requests this Fall from students wishing to borrow Chromebooks and Chromebook chargers. Per the Parent Student Handbook, students’ Chromebooks are to be with them and fully charged before coming to school each day. Beginning in January, we will be issuing detentions to students who do not return borrowed items on time.
Schoology: Enable Parent Email Notifications
Schoology provides parents with the ability to receive a daily/weekly digest of their student’s grades. For directions on how to set up these notifications, click here. Questions about your Schoology parent account? Please reach out to SFTech@stfrancishs.org.
New PowerSchool/Schoology Single Sign-on
We have updated our PowerSchool and Schoology sites to use a single sign with your unique PowerSchool Portal credentials. This means that you can sign into PowerSchool Portal and Schoology using your email address and your existing PowerSchool Portal password.
Final Forms Updates
Final Forms is the official online registration process for parents and students, used for back-to-school forms, including medical and emergency information, and forms that are required prior to participation in Athletics at St. Francis. Even if your family completed forms this summer for a Fall sport, there are additional forms that have been added and must be signed by both parents and students. All parents will need to complete their student’s registration information by August 10th. If you have any questions about logging into your account, please reach out to SFTech@stfrancishs.org.
Parents of student-athletes, particularly those competing in fall sports, should register their daughters on FinalForms as soon as possible. Tryouts and conditioning will begin as early as July 31, and all forms plus documentation of a physical need to be on file prior to any participation. Additionally, sports-specific details and information are sent through FinalForms.
