STEM Zone Students Reach for Space
Students in the STEM Zone at St. Francis Catholic High School are participating in the highly selective International Space Station Program (ISSP), becoming one of only 10 high schools nationwide and the only all-girls school chosen for this prestigious opportunity. Selected from more than 100 applicants, a team of 12 students is designing, engineering, and coding a science experiment that will be launched aboard a International Space Station mission via SpaceX. Through real-world, hands-on research with applications in biomedical engineering and longevity science, students are gaining unparalleled experience and preparing to publish their findings, embodying St. Francis’ commitment to innovative, future-focused STEM education.
