Basketball Reaches West Coast Jamboree Championship

PLEASANT HILL, Calif. – St. Francis basketball advanced to the championship game of the Ruby bracket of the West Coast Jamboree with a 58-50 win over previously undefeated Acalanes. Seniors Kyra Huffman and Lauren Craig combined for 27 points as the Troubadours advanced to Wednesday’s final against Sheldon (Ore.) at 6 p.m.

Acalanes (10-1) was out-scored 22-12 in the final quarter as the Troubadours pulled ahead in the final quarter. Craig scored nine of her 13 points, while Huffman added four baskets as the senior duo put away the Dons.

Julia Razo added nine points for the Troubadours, who advanced to 9-1 on the season.

Holiday Tournament Update: Brynne Burrows scored eight points to help St. Francis freshmen basketball team advance to the consolation championship game with a 37-30 win over Enochs in the Rocklin JV Tournament. Krysta Alvarez scored a team-high 13 points and Gabi Lopez and Sydney Galvan added five each in the win. The Troubadours will face McClatchy on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The JV team lost 55-43 to Berkeley in the semifinals of the Antioch Christmas Classic.
