Frank Leads JV Basketball in Holy Hoops

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Nicole Frank scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the St. Francis junior varsity basketball team posted a 66-39 win over Christian Brothers in the Holy Hoops matchup.

“The energy was great and our team really worked together to get all the points we had,” said Frank. “It was the passing and our chemistry together. The rhythm was really great.”

Frank scored five points in the first quarter as the Troubadours took control of the game with a 20-point quarter. The second was closer but SF entered the half with a 35-21 lead. The Troubies scored 20 again in the third while holding the Falcons to seven points.

St. Francis (11-2) had a balanced scoring attack with 12 players scoring in the contest. Isabella Quiniola added nine points on three triples and Ally Gage chipped in eight points to go with 15 rebounds. Lauren Pank led the team with five assists.

St. Francis plays Elk Grove on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
