SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Seniors Mikia Fang and Kristi Lee tied for medalist honors with two-over par rounds of 38 to lead St. Francis to a victory over Davis in a Delta League dual match Wednesday at Haggin Oaks Arcade course.

“We have a strong team this year,” said Fang, who was paired with Lee for their round today. “I played with Kristi in our last qualifying round. We both had scores and we pushed each other to do well again today.

Fang and Lee both carded season-best rounds to tie for low round of the match with Marie Dean of Davis.

“The round started off a little rough with a triple bogey but things got a little better,” said Lee, who birdied the second hole before recording seven straight pars. “I tried to keep a good attitude throughout and worked out good for me.”

Freshmen Olivia Alcoran and Patricia Sweeney shot four-over par 40. Sophomore Chase Saca posted a 43 and senior Kate Swanson recorded a 44.

St. Francis, a winner in the first Delta League Center match on Monday, remained undefeated on the season and improved their dual match record to 2-0.

“I feel like the sense of unity shows through our friendships and our scores,” said Lee. “We are all really close together with our scores and that is something to look forward to for the rest of the season.”

The Troubadours have one match next week against Elk Grove on Monday at WildHawk golf course.
