Softball Posts First Win over Del Oro

LOOMIS, Calif. – Senior Danika Bailey went 3-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored to lead St. Francis to a 14-6 win over Del Oro Saturday.

The Troubadours scored nine runs over the first three innings and added a five-run fifth that included a two-run home run by Bailey to seal their first victory of the season. Bailey was one of four players with multiple-hit games, including a three-hit performance by Hannah Willover. Rhyann O’Mara had three RNI in the game.

Jada Kanemasu allowed for runs (two earned) over three innings and Kelsea Williams pitched four innings in relief, allowing two runs on six hits.

Tied at 2 after the first, the Troubadours took the lead for good in the second with three runs.

St. Francis returns home to host Rio Linda on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. The game will be shown online on TroubieTV.
