ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Senior AnnClaire MacArt won the 100 freestyle to lead St. Francis to a third-place finish at the 2014 NorCal Swimming Championships held at the Roseville Aquatic Center last weekend.

St. Francis finished third with 303 points, just five behind second-place Davis Senior. San Ramon won the girls event with 670 points. The Troubadours finished ahead of Woodcreek (257) and Granite Bay (228).

The Troubadours posted 16 top-16 performances, including seven in the top eight.

MacArt won the 100-yard freestyle in 52.33 and finished third in the 200y free with a time of 1:52.53. Sophomore Chloe Mitchell posted a pair of top three finishes, placing second in the 500-yard free (5:03.42) and third in the 100y backstroke (1:00.75).

Senior Maddie Johnson placed fifth in the 100y butterfly and ninth in the 200-yard individual medley. Junior Kristen Lance garnered an 11th-place finish in the 200 IM and was 14th overall in the 100y breaststroke.

St. Francis hosts Bella Vista and El Camino in the final regular season meet on Wednesday, April 9 at 4 p.m. at Jesuit High School.
