Three Volleyball Players Earn Delta League Honors

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Three St. Francis volleyball players earned Delta All-League honors in 2015 as voted by the league coaches. Senior Ashlynn Fresques joined juniors Kelsey Grover and Claire Schutz on the all-league team.

Fresques was second on the team in kills with a team-best 3.8 kills per set. She recorded double-digit kills in 12 of 16 matches played. She was also selected to play in the Optimist All-Star game.

Grover recorded a team-best 463 assists on the season, averaging 6.3 per set. She was third in the league in total assists.

Schutz led the team in kills with 222 on the season, ranging fourth in the league in total kills, while hitting 20.9 percent. She had 17 blocks with 52 digs on the season.

St. Francis went 20-16 on the season and finished third in the Delta League standings. The Troubadours advanced to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs, advancing to the quarterfinals.
