HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – Senior Aubree Barr was among three current and former St. Francis water polo players earned Academic All-America honors from USA Water Polo, the organization announced. Student-athletes needed a 3.6 GPA on a scale of 4.0 to qualify and those that received a 4.0 GPA were honored as outstanding achievers.

“It shows that I am dedicated in the classroom, working hard outside practice and games,” said Barr. “I put a lot of effort and time into succeeding in whatever I do. Whether it is school or water polo, I want to succeed.”

Former Troubies Maggie Oys (Santa Clara) and Julie Zanobini (Loyola Marymount) also garnered Academic All-America honors. It was the third selection for each to the team, while Barr was named for the second consecutive season.

All three received the honor with outstanding achievement designation for qualifying with a 4.0 GPA or better.
