Varsity Softball Postseason Awards

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis softball team finished the season with a 13-11-1 overall record with a 5-5 record in Delta River League action.

Alexis Viramontes was the team MVP. She hit .356 on the season with 24 RBI.

Alejandra Garcia was selected as the Most Inspirational, leading the team in hitting with a .443 batting average with a team-best 35 hits and 30 runs scored.

Senior Amy Marks was named the Coaches Award recipient after hitting .432 on the season with a team-best 30 RBI and went 8-5 with a 2.90 ERA on the mound.

Junior Bailey Boone was chosen as the Most Improved Player.

Marks and Garcia were both selected to the All-Delta River League first-team along with Rhyann O’Mara.

Viramontes, Garcia and Marks were all selected to play the Optimist All-Star Game on May 29.
